Large Rear Extension & Remodelling
For this job, the client requested a large rear extension and some remodelling of the existing interior to provide more space in their family home. This was a large project and one that we project managed from start to finish. The extension to the rear of the building added a significant amount of living space and it was important to our client that the extra space felt like a part of the original property.
With this is mind there was some remodelling of the interior of the house to allow the space to flow between the original and the extension. Some of the rooms had been small and slightly dark and remodelling to create a much more open and brighter space was very effective. Foundations were dug out and laid to the rear of the property in preparation for the extension. Unique Home Improvements then completed all block and brickwork and roofed the area. In order to flood the space with light two large roof lanterns were added and the views to the garden were maintained with beautiful bi-folding doors and full length windows.
Internally the space was re plastered, rewired and a new staircase was fitted. To keep the space feeling clean and clear the clients opted for underfloor heating throughout which would keep the open plan space at a comfortable temperature whatever the weather.
The old kitchen was removed and an incredible new one fitted. Old doors were replaced and the final look was finished with crisp, clear paint. The finished work exceeded the clients’ expectations and they were thrilled with the job we had done.
